A 50-year-old man who was part of a trio who allegedly stole firearms, cash and collectible coins worth $1 million from a South Australian property had his sentencing adjourned in Broken Hill Local Court this week.
Mark Paul Hunt, one of three men alleged to have broken into and robbed a home in Yorketown, on February 24, was due to appear in court on Tuesday but was excused from appearing via video link.
Hunt was the third man involved in the home invasion.
The two co-accused men were arrested when they were pulled over by Broken Hill Highway Patrol around 9am, February 24. Hunt, a passenger, fled the scene.
Hunt was arrested on Saturday, March 1, at Sturt Park after being recognised by an off-duty police officer.
He’s accused of 19 criminal offences, including unauthorised possession of firearms, and possessing loaded firearms in a public place.
Hunt’s sentencing was adjourned until May 27.
