Further suspension for disqualified driver

A BROKEN HIll man faced court on Tuesday following a drink-driving incident in South Australia and driving without a license in Broken Hill.

Maziar Yousefi faced the Broken Hill Local Court charged with of driving a motor vehicle during a license disqualification period, with the submission noting it is his first time committing this offence.

The disqualified driving charge follows a drink-driving incident in South Australia last year which resulted in Youseif losing his licence.

He was represented in court by defence council who provided two character references.

Magistrate Jaqueline Trad said that despite Mr Yousefi proving an important community service, he needs to follow the rules and he would not receive any special treatment.

Ms Trad added an extra six months Youseif’s existing license disqualification.
