Scream Street to rock at Pulse Alive

By Max Burrows

UP and coming band Scream Street is gearing up for a massive month, set to perform at Pulse Alive in March while also hitting the stage at three local gigs in the coming weeks to raise funds for their journey.

Pulse Alive is a large-scale, high-quality performance opportunity for public students based in New South Wales, held annually at the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney Olympic Park.

The band, made up of four year 10 students at Willyama High School said they’re excited to take to the stage.

“The experience of playing music at such a venue is incredible,” said the band’s drummer, Kye Turley.

“Pulse alive is really going to give our band some recognition and experience.”

Over the next three Fridays, the boys will be taking the stage at The Demo Club and The Broken Hill Pub in an effort to fundraise for their upcoming trip.

Guests can expect high-energy performances, original music, and a chance to support local talent.

“Our main genre is heavy metal/nu metal, but we occasionally dip into rock songs that suit our style,” Turley said.

“We’ll be playing a mix of original songs and covers.”

Scream Street will take the stage on Friday, February 28 at The Demo Club from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, on Friday March 14 they’ll be at The BHP from 8pm to 10pm, while Friday, March 14 will see the band back at the The Demo Club from 7.30 to 8.30.

People younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian as per venue rules and regulations.

Whether it’s at Pulse Alive or a local venue, one thing’s for sure – Scream Street is ready to bring the noise.
