PARKES Federal Member, Mark Coulton, has thrown his support behind Gunnedah Mayor Jamie Chaffey as the new Nationals candidate for the seat.

Mr Chaffey has been preselected as the Nationals candidate to contest the seat of Parkes at the next federal election.
