Man charged after car chase

A POLICE pursuit through

Broken Hill has ended in a driver’s arrest, with the alleged offender set to face court next week.

On Saturday, officers from the New South Wales Barrier Police District noticed a vehicle with expired registration while patrolling Crystal Street.

After ignoring police directions to pull over, a chase began.

Subsequently, the vehicle and the 31-year-old male driver were later found parked on Sulphide Street.

The man was taken to the Broken Hill Hospital following an unrelated medical episode.

He was then transported to Broken Hill Police Station

where he was charged with four offences including being involved in a police pursuit, dangerous driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.

The man is set to appear in the Broken Hill Local Court on Tuesday, April, 22.
