Appeal for info

POLICE are re-appealing for information into the suspicious death of Broken Hill man Ian Lacey last month at Wentworth.

At about 9am on Thursday, January 16, Barrier Police District officers were called to Log Bridge Road at Wentworth for a reported scrub fire.

While at the site police found the body of the 56-year-old Ian Lacey, and subsequently up a crime scene for forensic examination.

An investigation has been commenced into the circumstances of Mr Lacey’s death, which is being undertaken by detectives.

Police are encouraging anyone who was in the vicinity of Wentworth near Log Bridge Road over the last week and who may have information, CCTV or dash-cam footage, to reach out to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Information given via Crime Stoppers is treated in strict confidence, and the public are reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
