Driver blows 0.133

A BROKEN Hill man has returned a positive Road Breath Test of 0.133 on the Cooper Coast Highway.

About 6.15pm Tuesday December 24, Kadina Patrols conducted a static driver testing station on the Copper Coast Highway at Kadina, South Australia.

Police stopped a Mitsubishi Pajero and the driver, a 62-year-old Broken Hill man, submitted to a breath test returning a positive result of 0.133.

Whilst police were speaking with the Broken Hill man, the passenger in the Pajero, a 72-year-old Kadina man drove away from the RBT in the vehicle before he was stopped by police and also submitted to a breath test.

He returned a positive result of 0.097 and checks revealed he did not hold a drivers licence.

Both men were reported for drink driving and issued with a 6-month licence disqualification notice.

The 72-year-old was also reported for driving unlicensed.

The men will be summoned to the Kadina Magistrates Court at a later date.
