TRANSGRID has assured the community that its $9 million Broken Hill transmission line reconstruction project is not only running on schedule but should be completed by mid-year.

This new permanent section of the line will replace temporary emergency towers erected last year following a weather event that left the Far West without consistent power for weeks.
