NYE was a cracker!

I WOULD like to congratulate Broken Hill City Council for a very successful New Year’s Eve celebration.

The family friendly New Year’s Eve event held at Sturt Park was incredibly well attended.

The inflatable carnival games and amusement rides to keep the kids entertained were fantastic.

It was unfortunate that the lines were so long, it took almost two hours for one go on the trampoline. But it was still great to see so much effort go into the event.

Next year, it would be great to see a drawing/ painting station for the younger children who can’t do the bigger rides or might not want to fight the bigger kids for turns.

The live music was amazing from the DJ to local band Tha Boiz and all the food and drink vendors were fantastic.

It was great to see seating and lighting and have the whole event spread across Sturt Park.

The night was finalised with an explosive firework display- which unfortunately was blocked off by the trees, but not much can be done about that.

All in all, a big round of applause for Council for putting on a wonderful event and I can’t wait to see what 2025’s end of year celebrations bring.
