CONGRATULATIONS on your first edition

There has been a void created by the demise of the Barrier Daily Truth.

Local news, events and points of view had disappeared.

Your first edition has done a great service to the town.

May I say congratulations to Broken Hill City Council Mayor Tom Kennedy and his team.

The town now appears to have turned a corner with works being carried out on roads, footpaths and other infrastructure.

The current power crisis has been a long time coming with little to no apparent maintenance on the towers supporting the transmission line.

Broken Hill urgently needs back up generators stationed here for any future outages.

I hope the inquiry into this mess will find all faults and make sure we get action to remedy them.
