St Pats Cup tickets off and racing

THE 2025 St Pats Races are predicted to be a big day by the organising club, with ticket sales booming for the 60th Annual Outback Cup.

St Patrick’s Race Club is hosting the diamond jubilee event on Saturday, March 15, with some areas already fully booked.

Club office manager Lyn Bent said the rising sales are unprecedented.

“We were prepared for a rush on tickets going on the early enquiries and having the experience of what happened at our 50th meeting in 2015, but this has taken us by surprise,” she said.

“We did extend in most areas and have had to order additional marquees as we increased the number of picnic sites.

“The lawn lounge is sold out and Wacky’s bar is close to being full, but we have added more shaded areas for the public.

“Our main function centre in the Gary Radford Pavilion, which offers the ultimate in hospitality, and still has tables available.”

Advertising for the event included a television campaignin regional South Australia, newspaper ads, and social media content.

The club’s poster for the year was also released, featuring artwork by Andrew Ormandy, a descendant of the club’s inaugural president.

“It was an honour to be granted approval to provide the artwork,” Mr Ormandy said.

Since the event is celebrating a key anniversary, the club has organised new festivities, to be revealed soon.

“There are some exciting innovations in store for our patrons which have been made possible thanks to our amazing sponsors and supporters,” Ms Bent said.

“As we get close to March, we will let people know what St Pats 2025 will look like, they will be excited.”

For those wanting to buy tickets, the club office is in the BHP Hotel, opening mid-January.

Until then, all bookings can be made online via 123 tix.
