South Broken Hill

ON Wednesday, November 13, a nine-hole par event was played with D. Richardson winning on a countback from from runner-up J. Miani, both on +1 with W. Kitchen third on -1 on a countback.

Last Friday was a nine-hole Stableford won by W. Kitchen with 17 points from runner-up B Gillespie on 15 points and third going to A. Carlaw on 14 points.

Saturday was a nine nine-hole stroke event won by B. Gillespie with 29 net followed by I. Sheehan 32 net, R. Rowe 34 net, and J Miani, K. Holmes and K. Bettison all on 35 net.

The 24 Club played a nine-hole stroke event on Sunday with B. Gillespie winning easily with 38 net followed by I. Sheehan 34 net and K. Holmes 35 net.


North Broken Hill

THE members’ closing day of winter golf season on Saturday, November 4, was a four-person medley Ambrose.

Gross winners: D. Rushforth, K. Maddern, A. Tompkins, R. Simmons 59 (13 under par).

Net winners: W. Van Kemenade, J.Van Kemenade, A. Pollard, H. Raganovich 53 7/8, runners-up J. Stephenson, P. Vaughan, L. Ransome, J. Ralph 54 1/4.

Balls: D. Henderson, M. Henderson, T. Burke, J. Dally 56 ¾ net, C. Sanderson, M. Everuss, T. Corswell, M. Reavill 57 net on a countback.

NTPs: 2nd – J. Stephenson 130cm, 8th – M. Reavill 470cm, 13th – T. Henderson 476cm, 16th – N. Lawrence 52cm.

Members’ medley par played on Sunday, November 10 was won by Cody Meehan +4.

Course maintenance on the back nine was undertaken during the week.

Veterans

THE veterans golfers played Stableford on Monday with 27 players taking the course.

Winner of the Demo voucher was Glen Angrich with 38 points, runner-up was Michael Wheatley with 37 and third Dean Clarke with 36.

NTPs: 2nd – Trevor Henderson, 8th – Nigel Agius, 13th – Tony Gepp, 16th – Garry Cherry.

Best nines: Ray Sartori and Adrien Dalby.

The ‘LOFT’ award went to Bruce Bowden.

The Gala Day team results: The winners were Ray Sartori, Colin ‘Smacker’ Degumois, Ken Rogers and Adrien Dalby with 135 points, runners-up Glen Andrich, Bruce Baum, Michael Boikov and Trevor Henderson with 134, and third went to Brian Spain, Jim Caldwell and Wayne Pavlich with 133.
