Last chances in final round

South v Central

WHAT an opportunity for both teams; South can stamp their authority or Central could come out to say ‘We’re here to stay’.

Talking to other players from other teams, they all say the same thing and that’s that Central is the hardest team to play against.

Guess it’s due to the physical pressure they apply, and let’s face it, they’re not small lads. They’re all pretty well put together, so for me it’s a mindset for Centrals, an attitude thing, as they have the tools.

On the other hand, South have the right attitude great mindset, fierce competitive nature. All these points set up for a tremendous game.

South, for me, have the right mixture of talls and smalls and have a great mix of role-playing players. A good way to judge a strength of a team is how good are their bottom six players and if you ask me, every one of South’s bottom six players would get a regular game in any other team.

I’m going to go for the Roos today. It’s the perfect run into the finals for them, and I will still bang on about their three talls. Pretty hard to cover in my opinion.

Good luck, everyone.

South by 27 points.

North v West

WELL, the shape of the season is now set.

Nothing will change from this point. North take on the Robins today and it could be an interesting game. The ladder would suggest not, and previous games between these two have been one sided.

We still don’t know what West team will turn up. I think North are in good form. Good playing group, skillful.

If West can get that ruthless pressure going and utilise their speed, then who knows what might happen, but for me North are too mature to drop this game, too many leaders.

All one could ask is both teams have a crack. This game should come down to desire, pressure and attitude. I must admit it is the exciting time of the year right now, and if the weather holds up, what else would you rather do on a Saturday than playing a game you love with your mates sniffing the deep heat?

Having a laugh and getting ready for the finals.

It’s a great time of the year for me. The Dogs are going to be too good, too strong, too skillful.

I’m going the Dogs by 35 points.

Best of luck to the Robins, however.

Players to watch:

North: Jayden Kelly, Logan Ferguson, Talan Pitt and Quinton Bevon.

West: Patrick Attard, Cody McEvoy and Sunny Fawner.

Good luck, everyone.
