Dogs dole out 100-plus point thrashing

North v West

WELL, let’s just start by saying the conditions were darn shocking. Wind blowing everywhere and rain on top of that.

Both teams shaped up but the Dogs provided the knockout. They got back on the horse to execute a 122-point victory.

I asked the question last week, ‘West, what do you stand for? What’s your trademark?’ and then they come out and give a performance like that.

They managed to kick nine points in total for the entire game whilst their opposition were brutal kicking 131 points.

I really don’t know where to go from here for West. As far as I’m concerned, they don’t deserve a crack at finals but the league are gifting them an opportunity.

Unfair in my opinion.

Anyway it was all about the Dogs on the weekend and a special weekend at that. It was old timers and North simply showing their authority.

Back to uncompromising snarky footy, which I love. West just couldn’t handle the pressure of North nor their skill level. To win by that margin, either you were that good or the opposition that bad.

It was a case of a bit of both. I really hope North now take that form with them moving into the pointy end.

Only four games to go now and the flag is still up for grabs. Well done, Dogs.

Final score was North 131 to West 9.
