Roos look to cruise past last placed West

West v South

WESTIES got a wake up call last week. But that’s all it, was you suggest.

Plenty of time to get back on the horse for the Robins.

While South keep rolling on and have proven they will be hard to beat when it really matters, Westies have proven they can match it with the best but just aren’t consistent enough.

But that’s all, it will come with leadership and maturity.

South are already on that path; they have great leadership and young ones that are playing their roles.

Pretty healthy environment I would suggest, so who wins this one?

Westies will test the Roos, for how long I’m unsure. But for me, the Roos are too organised, too connected. They have unselfish players that play their role and they have leadership on every line.

Roos for me this week, 35 points.

Enjoy the footy, everyone.

Only five games left, then we hit the finals.

North v Central

FOR me, North won’t let this one drop and Central’s form needs to improve.

North should have too much run in this contest.

Central will need to set up around the ball which I’m yet to see. They will also need to play their lanes there, make the ground big so their forwards are getting what they want.

Make North play on Central’s terms. Form doesn’t really warrant anything else, I would suggest.

If I sound disappointed when it comes to Central, well, I am. I had belief in them and wanted them to perform. I hope we get that this week as they have enormous potential.

Simplify it. Keep the ball in your lanes. Only change for that off the line kick if there’s density or pressure up the field.

North, on the other hand, will run all day. They will beat Central at ground level and whose tackles will stick.

Who is willing to work harder and apply the pressure? I think the Dogs by 27 points.

I like what North are doing and they’re setting their season up nicely.

Can Central turn it around from pure desire and want? Let’s see, Saturday.
