Another farmer wants another wife

THERE’S only one thing sadder than a farmer without a good woman, and that’s a single lady who needs a good farmer.

Thank heaven for the popular reality TV program, Farmer Wants a Wife.

Over the course of 15 seasons, the program has resulted in 11 marriages, nine serious relationships and 27 babies.

The 2025 season ended with Farmer Corey and Keeley Rankin galloping off to his farm in Biloela, in the appealingly named North Queensland shire of Banana.

Producers now have the job of lassoing talent for season 16 next year.

Despite there being thousands of farms, stations and properties in the region, not a single farmer from the Far West New South Wales has appeared on the program since its inception in 2007.

That can change in 2026 with producers at Fremantle Media on the hunt for farmers from the Far West, with the red earth a welcome counterpoint to the lush green pastures that have featured in the show so far.

Correctly assuming most Far West farmers are too shy to put their hands up, the producers of Farmer Wants a Wife have made it possible to “dob in” a lonely landholder you think might deserve a shot at happiness.

Simply fill out the form at farmerwantsawife.com.au or, if you’re dobbing in a mate, email farmerwantsawife@eurekaproductions.au and the producers will do the rest.
