Rock band Kingswood to play Broken Hill Pub

MELBOURNE rockers Kingswood will be visiting Broken Hill as part of their Midnight Mavericks Tour starting this month.

The rock band, with an added country twang, have shared their first taste of new music for 2025 – a cover of the Tom Petty classic, You Wreck Me.

Revealing the tune on social media, the band said, “It’s love, chaos, and obsession colliding at full speed”.

“The feeling of being completely wrecked by someone, it’s something we’ve all lived through,” they said.

“Surrendering to a force greater than you’re able to control.

“The reckless pursuit of something you can’t quite hold onto. When we play it, we’re tapping into that raw, untamed emotion – like going into a boxing ring.”

Not only have Kingswood released a new song, but the band has announced a massive national tour hitting six of the country’s states and territories.

The Midnight Mavericks Tour includes 34 dates from April to October, with the band performing three shows in South Australia at Big Easy Radio in Aldinga Beach on Friday, May 9, Beer Garden Brewing at Port Lincoln on Saturday, May 10, and Lefties at Whyalla on Sunday, May 11.

They will perform at the Broken Hill Pub on May 17.
