What’s on New Year’s eve

TIBOOBURRA will host its annual New Year’s Eve Bikekhana on Tuesday December 31 at the Showgrounds.

Nominations will open at 10am with the event starting at midday, with categories including bending, barrel race, wheel stand, short circuits, sprint races and more across multiple age groups.

The bar will be open from 12pm until 2am, with fireworks arranged to bring in the new year.

There’ll be a water slide for the kids, free camping and amenities, entertainment and a fully catered lunch, dinner and New Years day breakfast.

Tickets can be bought on the day and are $10 for adults and free for children and pensioners.


In the Silver City, celebrations at Sturt Park will include bungee trampolines, a cyclone ride, inflatable and games and a sensory zone, as well as a firework spectacular at 9.15pm.

Food stalls including Outback Thai, Mexican Kitchen and Aus Kustom Gaming will be providing dinner options for the event.


Broken Hill Pub will host a NYE dinner and party.

The dinner option includes a three course dinner and glass of beer or sparkling wine on arrival, along with free entry to the LUV NYE Party that will kick off at 9pm.

The party is $20 for standard entry which includes two drink tokens, and $40 for premium entry which includes five drink tokens.
