Social worker up for award

A SOCIAL worker from The Far West Local Health District has been named as a finalist in the 2025 Excellence in Allied Health Awards.

Rolaren Allison, who works in the FWLHD child and adolescent mental health team, was a finalist in the Early Career Allied Health Professional of the Year category.

The Excellence in Allied Health Awards will be celebrated with winners announced on 27 March, and will be live-streamed.

FWLHD’s director of allied health and integrated community services Melissa Welsh said the team were thrilled to see Ms Allison’s work recognised.

“Far West LHD is excited and extremely proud to have a finalist in the Allied Health Awards this year,” Ms Welsh said.

Director of mental health, drug and alcohol services Denise Jack said she’s proud of the contribution that Ms Allison has made within the team.

“Rolaren has shown all the key capabilities and core values of being a member within a high-paced acute team and we look forward to encouraging her to further develop her career in FWLHD,” Ms Jack said.
