Lifeline toy collection closing soon

THE Lifeline toy drive, which urges people to donate new, unwrapped presents for children in need, is closing on Thursday, December 12.

The Broken Hill Bank, formerly the Credit Union, is one of the donation points for locals to drop off new toys for children in need.

General manager Louise Hunt said this year’s toy drive has reflected the generosity and heart of the bank’s customers and community.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how many people have donated, and the joy it brings to the kids who visit is unforgettable,” she said.

“We’re so proud to be a part of this amazing initiative, and we’re grateful to everyone who has helped make it such a success”

Customer service team leader Mary Muscat said she’s blown away by how many people have donated toys.

“We’ve seen not only our regular customers participating, but members of the community who don’t often visit the branch, dropping in donations,” she said.

Until the end of December 12, toys can be dropped-off at the bank, Miani’s Deli, Pepe’s Milk Bar, and 7 Day Spares.
