Proof of support is in the pudding

EVERY year the Royal Flying Doctor Service’s Women’s Auxiliary spends a week in September baking more than a thousand Christmas puddings, to fundraise for the remote area medical service.

Sue Andrews is the treasurer of the group and said last year the Auxiliary was able to bring in more than $100,000 through a variety of fundraising efforts.

In 2024 they’ve made about $60,000 so far.

Of the 1400 puddings made by the group they’ve already sold about 800.

The Christmas puddings are $25 and can be purchased at the RFDS Wellbeing Place at 343 Blende Street or at Sitting Bull at 377 Argent Street.
