Broken Hill Men’s Indoor Bowls Association

WEEK three came down to the last bowl to decide who was going to be crown the 2025 Men’s Pairs Champions and all results were very close.

Round five saw Ray Grenfell and Tyrone English defeat Milton Hawke Jnr and J Nankiville 11 to 8, while Milton Hawke Snr and Aaron Hawke defeated Tyson Hawke and Bob Smith 10 to 6.

The grand final came down to the round six clash between Aaron Hawke and Tyrone English team.

That meant English can lose the game and still claim the win, whereas Hawke needs to win the game with a plus three bowls to take the overall victory.

The Hawkes jumped out of the block 6 to 1 and English and Grenfell were piling on the pressure picking up crumbs to catch them.

After seventh end were both sides were level on six-all till disaster hit Grenfell-English.

The Hawkes dropped a 6 to put 12 to 6, but to Grenfell and English persistence they scored 2 by 3 shots to draw the game and win the 2025 Men’s Pairs Championships.

Congratulation to Ray and Tyrone. Runner up over average was Justin Nankivill and M Hawke Jnr.
