Bowls notes

North Broken Hill Bowling Club

Wednesday, March 26

SIX bowlers played 14 ends of three bowls triples with the team skippered by Ken Hodge, featuring lead Brian Pascoe and second Denis Watts, winning 18-8.

Wednesday night bowls will finalise on April 2, 2025 with the end of daylight saving this Sunday.

Saturday, March 29

DRIZZLY weather did not deter the 18 social bowlers who fronted up to play two games of triples.

There was only unconquered team, which comprised lead Don Delbridge, second Ray Grenfell, and their skip Peter Gageler.

Tony Brown and nonagenarian Ken Murray attained resting touchers while Steve Cutting had a momentary lapse with one wrong bias delivery.

Tuesday, March 25, 2025

SUPERB 27-degrees weather enticed 28 participants.

Five teams dominated proceedings under the control of skips Wayne Williams, Steve Cutting, Lloyd Rawlins, Barry Hooker and Dennis Cetinich.

The wheel of fortune number 54 was tremendous news for Barry’s team which included lead Kris Hunter and second Judy Calleia.

The consolation spin fell nicely for lead Brian Pascoe and his skip Denis Watts.

Lloyd Rawlins capped off a good day with one resting toucher, while Steve Cutting, again, had loss of concentration with another wrong bias bowl.
