North Broken Hill Bowling Club

Saturday, March 1 – social bowls

AN impressive rollup of 24 participants found the shelter shade very useful in the higher than expected temperatures. The winning team for the evening comprised lead Allan Fraser, second Bill Symons and their skip Graham Riley. The consolation prize went to lead June Walker, second Steve Cutting and skip Barry Hooker. There were three resting touchers, attained by Graham Riley, Ray Grenfell and John Payne.

Tuesday, March 4 – social bowls

Twenty-two social bowlers initially played under shade before enjoying a calm, pleasant evening under lights. The only totally successful team all evening comprised lead Brian Jones and his skip Dennis Cetinich. Brian was in excellent touch, particularly during the second game when he achieved two resting touchers in quick succession. Denis Watts was the only other bowler to finish in contact with the kitty once.
