Flags defeated Try Hards 18 to 8.
Demo defeated Sturt 19 to 12.
Last round next Tuesday before we move into the finals.

Muso Flags 14pts +49 (minor premiers) move straight into the grand final.
Demo 12 pts +27.
Sturt 10pts +12 (Demo will play Sturt in the semi-final in a couple of weeks).

Wednesday evening bowls March 19, 2025
WITH the resumption of evening bowls, eight participants played two games of pairs.
Peter Simons and Ryan Atkinson skippered their teams to two victories.
An odd number on the wheel was excellent fortune for Ryan and his lead Alan Fraser.
With cooler weather allowing Tuesday afternoon bowls then Wednesday evening bowls is on (6.30pm start).
Saturday afternoon social bowls March 22, 2025
THE weather is gradually cooling with 29 degrees conditions producing a comfortable bowling environment under our grass green’s shelter.
An excellent roll up of eventually 30 social bowlers added to a very pleasant atmosphere.
Three teams emerged undefeated, under the control of skips Wayne Williams, Bruce Nettle and Dennis Cetinich.
The number 42 on the wheel was superb news for Wayne’s side, which included second John Payne, while June Walker and Charlie Sultana shared the lead duties.
The consolation prize was won by lead Bill Symons, Frankston visitor Paul Cogan and their skip Glyn Harrington.
Pam Murkins was in outstanding form with two resting touchers, while Wayne Williams and Barry Sladden attained one each.
Tuesday afternoon social bowls March 25, 2025
A PLEASING 24 participants played four games of three bowls triples on an increasingly cloudy afternoon.
Two combinations under skips Dennis Cetinich and Wayne Williams remained unbeaten.
An odd number on the wheel was tremendous news for Cetty and his two cohorts, lead Barry Sladden and second John Payne.
Barry was in the news repeatedly with one resting toucher and one wrong bias bowl.
The consolation prize went to lead Tony Brown, second Mark Perry and their skip Peter Simons.
Limited success for North BHBC reps at the 2025 Region 4 Champ of Champs
BOTH North BHBC reps in the women’s (Steph Balman) and men’s (Barry Hooker) singles won one out of their three matches.
The men’s pairs team featuring Peter and Stephen Balman played three close games, but were only successful once.
The men’s fours side (Zac Weekes, Glenn Weekes, Graham Riley and Barry Hooker) won the middle of their three contests.
The women’s fours, which featured North’s Jenny Garnaut and Steph Balman, plus Zinc BC’s Kay Burns and Cheryl Barry, performed the best with a win in the first game, a draw in the second and a narrow two shot loss in their final match.
Overall, Region 4 positions and scores (a win earned their region two competition points) were: 1st Riverland 28pts, 2nd Barossa and Light 19 pts, 3rd Silver City 13 pts, 4th Mid Murray 12 pts.

Singles: it’s semi-finals time with John Payne vs Zac Weekes and Mark Perry vs Peter Simons
Pairs: the second semi-final will see Mark Perry/John Payne playing Eden Ey/Zac Weekes, with the winner playing Steve Cutting/Denis Watts in the final.
