Music fest a success

THE sold-out 2025 Mundi Mundi Bash festival kicked off on Wednesday, with a record crowd of almost 15,000 punters rolling in to Belmont Station north of Silverton to watch live music in the heart of the Outback.

This year’s line-up includes Missy Higgins, Shannon Noll, Thirsty Merc, Dragon, Hoodoo Gurus, The Cat Empire, Birds of Tokyo and more, performing between Wednesday and Saturday.

The fourth festival to be held on the plains will also host the annual Guinness world-record breaking attempts for the most people dancing the Nutbush and the most people to make the shape of a country.

Local artisans will be selling their creations at the West Darling arts precinct, and camel-rides and helicopter rides are also on offer throughout the weekend.

Today’s line-up features 19-Twenty, The Chantoozies, Mi-Sex, Brad Cox, Birds of Tokyo, Missy Higgins and a tribute to David Bowie, with tomorrow seeing Pierce Brothers, Dragon, Leo Sayer, Kate Ceberano, The Cat Empire and Hoodoo Gurus take to the stage.
