Peter Merritt’s side won by five shots, a result that was counter balanced by a similar victory to Nathan Gageler’s Zinc combination.
However, it was Brad Lane’s quartet, which has been in impressive form this season, smashed out a massive 38-4 victory. This meant that Zinc won the colour by 34 shots, 74-40.
Progressive tallies with two rounds to go is North 82, Zinc 62. Total shots is North 744, Zinc 672.
Round 13 has been postponed until Saturday, November 23, due to both North BHBC and Zinc BC members being significantly affected by the current bout of illness.
Club championships
IN men’s singles, the two scheduled semi-finals featuring Barry Hooker v Stephen Balman and Wayne Williams v Ryan Atkinson have been delayed until all participants have recovered from sickness.

ON Tuesday, 15 social bowlers played two matches each on the club’s lower carpet green.
The only undefeated team featured lead Tony Brown, second Glen Weekes and their skip Lloyd Rawlins.
Steve Cutting and Brian Fenton both had lapses in concentration when they delivered one wrong bias bowl each.
Barefoot bowls
FOR the second week running barefoot bowls was postponed, this time because of illness.
All going well, barefoot bowls will get under way on Wednesday evening next week. Names are to be in by 6pm with play commencing at 6.30pm.
There will be two games, either eight ends of triples or 10 ends of pairs. Match fees are $5.
While everyone is welcome, barefoot bowls is aimed at beginners and learners who would like a social night out under lights on our upper grass green.
