Broken Hill Men’s Indoor Bowls Association report

THE grand final of the summer competition was played on Monday night between Muso Flags and Demo.

Muso Flags jumped to a 12-0 lead as they peppered the jack, and they were well skippered by young Aaron Hawke in a good team effort.

Demo finally rattled the scoreboard on the sixth end as they started to fire with their leader and second players Taul Thys and Bob Smith, but to no avail.

The pressure by Muso Flags was outstanding and they went on to win 21-14 to take the championship for 2024.

The championship team consisted of Ray Grenfell, Peter Merritt, Tyrone English and skip Aaron Hawke.

The men’s triples start on Tuesday, but there are still vacancies for players to compete, so get your names in.

The mixed indoor bowls grand final between Sturt Rebels and Muso Oldies will be played on Thursday at the Muso Hall.
