SOUTHERN Cross Care’s Harold Williams Home held its Christmas celebrations on December 5 for residents and their families.
Residential manager Renee Sullivan said the residents had a wonderful time coming together to celebrate Christmas as a community.
“It was also lovely to see the families of some of the residents join us,” she said. “They get so much joy from sharing the day, particularly with the grandkids.”
Regional general manager Larni Baird said the event also celebrated the home’s volunteers.
“We’re so blessed to have such wonderful members of our community who willingly give up their own time to help make our residents lives fulfilling and enjoyable,” she said.
“At our homes across Broken Hill we have many people who have been volunteering for years and in some cases even for decades.
“They’re an important part of our community, not only at Christmas but every day of the year.”
