THE Disability Expo will give locals a chance to learn about the care and support services available in the city.
The free event will be held at the Civic Centre on July 26 between 10am to 2pm, with over 30 service providers in attendance.
Attendees will be able to chat with staff and volunteers from a variety of organisations, and enjoy food, coffee, and face painting for kids.
Broken Hill City Council’s community development co-ordinator Rachel Merton said the event was a great resource for those who require care or support services.
“There are so many service options out there at the moment with the NDIS, and this event can give people a chance to talk to various organisations and see what suits them,” Ms Merton said.
“And it’s not just for aged or disabled people and carers; there’s lots of support and services available in town that can be helpful for people from all walks of life.
“We’ve got over 30 providers lined up for the day which is great to see, and I want to thank them all for supporting the event and the community.”
